The product consists of several gradient problems where the students determine elevations of lettered points on a map, measures distances between them, and calculates the Gradient in feet/mile.

In addition, the students interpret a topographic map and determine the contour interval, highest possible elevation for a feature, the steepest slope on the map, direction of stream flow from contours, and another gradient.

This is a good tool for practicing gradient problems and topographic map interpretation.
